I am one of those big kids I guess who really loves going to Chuck E Cheese. I love playing skeeball, air hockey, and archade games with my boys. For the younger ones, there are a lot of kiddie rides and the climbing tubes.
For food, we order their pizza. It's not the best -but then it's it's more of a kid's play center than a pizza place. We alway use one of the coupons from the Sunday supplements and get 100 tokens with a meal.
I would recommend going to Chuck E Cheese on the off hours - when kids are in school or during the lunch hour. Weekend dinner time can be quite a zoo.
