Katy Budget Books is similar to the half priced book stores located across the country. The main difference, is that they offer a book credit for all used books brought in!
In most cases, used books are taken at half the cover price. Each customer has a file at the store, with a running tab of their accumulated book credit. Purchases of used books can be made with the book credit, with the customer only paying 10% of the used book credit. For example, if I used $24.50 in book credit, I would also pay $2.45.
In addition to a huge selection of used books of all genres, Katy Budget Books also has a good selection of brand new books, and related gifts!
All in all, it's a great location to shop at - particularly if you have a lot of books you no longer want, but wouldn't mind acquiring new reading material!
