I literally grew up at the NC Museum of Life and Science. It's a really great place that kids absolutely love. From the train ride (where you can see beers and bison!) to the inside exhibits and the petting zoo, there is a ton to do here, with new activities being added all the time. The butterfly house is particularly recommended!
