ok, two specific problems that my husband and i had when we came in for the basic eye exams: 1) after paying a boatload of money just for the exams (they are definitely on the pricier side), we got the prescription but didn't even get the values for pupillary distance to order our glasses! that's complete crap. now we have to go to a DIFFERENT clinic just to get that number! 2) during the visit my husband was found to have an infection in the eye. the visit was rescheduled by the doctor for the following week. we were charged full price for visit 1. on the second visit, the doctor glanced at the eye for about 5 minutes, determined that the infection was still there, asked to reschedule the meeting the following week (ostensibly because by then the infection would clear) and charged us full amount for an exam. the same thing happened the following week. you would imagine that if the doctor had any clue about persistence of infections, he would be able to give a more accurate estimate of how long that would clear instead of ripping off clients and charging them full amount for exams on sham visits. a medical professional? i don't think so. what a joke. more
