Saba was my first experience with ethiopian food and dining, and while it was marked mostly by confusion, it was a very good experience. In fact, my confusion might have been the reason why it was so good. While the food was delicious, and the room was fimly lit and fit the mood, our confusion was immediately picked up on by the waitress who was incredibly helpful in getting us started. She explained what the different meals were, helped us choose what we should start off with, and explained how to eat the food when it arrived (with our hands, using the pseudo-pancake that comes with it). She didn't make us feel like the stupid newcomers that we were which allowed us to focus on enjoying our great meal. Saba is a great place to first experience Ethiopian food, or if you're already familiar with it, it's still a great place to eat.
