TVG is yet another Volvo shop that is supported by Portland’s inexhaustible supply of Volvo’s. The repair experience I had was good. My 1985 240DL timing belt broke, but I thought it was the fuel pump/filter. So, after destroying the filter in an attempt to fix it, I had it towed to them. The owner is a nice guy that didn’t make fun of me for misdiagnosing the problem…but he had no problem charging me for the hour or so they spent making sure I was wrong. The prices were competitive, and the shop was clean and orderly. The mechanics knew Volvos, and the repair was done quickly. Anytime you pay someone to go under the hood of one these cars it’s going to cost you, but I liked the professional-yet-small-business atmosphere, and I wasn’t overcharged. I would recommend it to a friend.
