It’s hot, crowded, and a bit snobby compared to the dance clubs I’m used to in Florida. It’s got a tiny bar, and it doesn’t even have live music, but where else are you going to dance in Seattle? Capital Hill’s Century Ballroom is the only dedicated dance hall that I know of in the Seattle area with regular swing and salsa nights. My impression of the Seattle swing scene, from what I could gather at the Century, is that it is very unforgiving to newcomers and beginners. The salsa crowd, however, is much friendlier.
