New China has been THE Chinese restaurant as long as I can remember. Located downtown, it’s a great spot to go for lunch. New China is a family-run restaurant and it shows. The food is authentic Chinese, and there’s an attention to detail that you don’t find in chains. No matter what you order the portions are generous- often enough for 2 people to share. I prefer the sweet-and-sour dishes, and often get take-out when I work late. The same wait staff has been there for years, which also speaks highly of the establishment.
