Phantom of the Attic in Oakland is a many a geek's weekly comic pickup spot. Their selection of new and collectible comics is top notch. They also have all sorts of other pet obsessions: magic cards, anime DVDs and models, role playing games, and the like.
Of course if you just want somewhere to hang out and debate the merit of the Kirby Silver Surfer vs. the Moebius Silver Surfer, Phantom isn't a bad place.
