I have a love/hate relationship with Grasshopper. I love the idea of a good tapas place in Rockridge, and Grasshopper comes close. Their menu is an interesting read, and the food doesn't disappoint. The ambiance is cool, adding a touch of hip to Rockridge. I'm not a wine person, but judging by the prices, I'd say the wine menu is extensive. The only problem is the service. I've been there three times and every time the service was just awful. Slow to take our order and slower to bring it. Still the food makes it worth it, but just barely.
