The Meyer Auditorium shows a new movie twice each week inside the most elegant cineplex possible: a museum on the Mall. The selections are eclectic: Hong Kong classics, Bollywood noir, etc. Frequently, directors or scholars introduce or discuss the movie, though this also invites audience questions, which can be a problem. The seating is stadium style and the seats are fairly comfortable. Though not new, the decor is better than you might expect given that it is absolutely free. They hand out 2 tickets max per person at the auditorium up to 1 hour ahead of each showtime. They're not usually sold out. more
