The Hooper-Lee Nicholas House forms part of what used to
Tory Row outside Boston in Cambridge. The house itself is somewhat small and doesn't leave much room for dancing but it has history and charm on its side. The house itself was built in 1685 and as an added perk the people who run the historical society will throw in a free tour for all of your guests of the parts of the off limits parts of the house. The charge for a four hour reception is around 300 dollars and includes use of a kitchen and upstairs bedroom/bathroom. The ambiance is very nice because much of the inner house has been painstakingly restored. You must bring in your own music, food, liquor, etc for the reception but the historical society is somewhat lenient when it comes to allowing you to decorate the house.
