My good friend and thespian, Pete M, took me to see this show last night. I did not know what to expect but I knew it had something to do with boy bands and Christian rock.
Overview:
A boy band is formed by 4 altar boyz (and one Jewish boy) to spread the word of God (voiced by legendary radio DJ shadow stevens). The entire show is in the form of a live concert performed by the band. Their songs are catchy and very humorous. The signing style varies from pop to hip-hop. The choreography is very backstreet boys and the characters are well developed. There is Matthew the pretty boy lead. Mark the closet gay, Luke the dummy hip-hopper, Juan the Mexican lover, and Abraham the Jewish writer.
Great show for young girls and lovers of pop music.
