I went on the walking tour this past spring through the miners village here that dates back to the 1800's. They started the tour with a video, which was pretty interesting. Through the walking tour you can go inside some of the older buildings that the mining company set up for its workers, such as the church, a miner's house and some others. The tour itself is a little boring. If you are in the area, it might be worth a try but I wouldn't recommend driving for this. It is only a few dollars a person so it might be worth the try if you are looking for an educational trip for kids.
