Sophie’s Restaurant located in Downtown Manhattan serves great food at good prices. For a very reasonable $7.00, you choose a main entrée that comes with rice and beans. They have a good selection of entrees (ropa vieja, pollo al horno) and a rotating selection of daily specials. They also have delicious sandwiches like Cubano and Pernil. The food is fresh and very good. Sophie’s Restaurant is often packed at lunchtime with area workers and students from BMCC and Stuyvesant.
