Twice a year, in November and March, the YMCA has weekend retreats for women at Camp Orkila on Orcas Island. http://www.seattleymca.org/page.cfm?ID=co
I've participated in these camps twice, and I have nothing but good things to say about the experiences.
For about $175, you get food, lodging, and a variety of activities to choose from. You arrive by ferry on Friday evening (with the option to come early and have dinner or to come later), and sign up for the classes or activities you'd like to participate in.
They offer everything from bead jewelry making to cardio kickboxing. The Y staff runs kayaking trips (these cost a little extra), hikes and their newest activity, the "Giant's Swing." Classes include things like nutrition for women or benefits of chocolate & red wine. The classes and activities can vary from time to time. Manicures, pedicures and massages are usually offered for an addition cost as well.
The great thing is that you can do as much or as little as you like. The first time I went, I just brought a book and read and slept!
The food is fantastic, and you are served three meals Saturday and breakfast & lunch Sunday.
Accommodations in the Dederer Center are quite nice with heated cabins, full kitchens, two bathrooms and 4 bedrooms sleeping 4 women each. It's not rustic by any means!
The camp is located right on the water and has many paths to just walk and enjoy the outdoors.
If you can, I highly recommend planning one of these retreats into your fall or spring. You won't be disappointed.
