I was possibly the only person in the restaurant, certainly the only one at my table, who didn't speak French. There is certainly a sense of authenticity when everyone can actually understand the menu and speak the language. The place is very quaint and pleasant. They have a fairly extensive wine list (French, of course) and the food was excellent all around the table. There is not a full bar, so it's wine and beer instead of cocktails, but head around the corner to Bar on Castro for your pre-dinner drinks. Definitely worth a try.
