moved from Fort Worth at the beginning of 2008 over to Irving where I currently reside. I started having trouble with my Chevy pick up, it was an early 90's model. The mechanic I used in Fort Worth was just the same company my father always used which was Firestone. I never trusted Firestone so even if it was about a mile from my apartment I wasn't going. I looked online and finally asked a few people I knew if they recommended anyone. I heard a lot of different reponses but I heard Tidwell Auto Service twice. Both individuals I spoke with were very satisfied with the work and said he was a great "Christian" guy. I felt like it was a little out of the way driving up to Plano but I decided I wanted the work done right and by someone I could trust. I got my truck up there and after explaining the symptoms, he told me I would have to leave it there over night and he would have it ready in the morning. I needed the clutch replaced. He quoted me a price and I said it sounded fair and I would like him to fix it. I went home and called a few other shops just to get a price. To my surprise Mr. Tidwell's price was extremely competitive and I don't recall anyone being cheaper. I was pleased with my choice. I recieved a call fairly early the next morning and had my roommate run me up there. Mr. Tidwell was extremely customer oriented and courteous. He explained what he did to the vehicle and backed his work with a one year warranty for the part. I have had no problems with my truck since that day. I continue to recommend people to Tidwell Auto Service because I had a rare wonderful experience with a mechanic shop. I certainly don't look forward to having to go back, but the next time I'm having truck problems you better believe I'll be visiting Tidwell Auto Service.
