First we wish to note the prompt service we received
on Friday afternoon when we discovered that our Carrier high rise water cooled air conditioning units failed. The service man unfortunately was unable to make the repair but did arrange next day service.
We learned, however, that technicians are not very well trained in the intricacies of these products. Last April we had one unit replaced on an emergency basis but the BOSCH which is very noisy we have subsequently learned is a low end unit and dealer did not provide us with various options for us to consider what model specifications to chose. In the current case the technicians (2 of theme) were simply unaware of key options that can extend life of compressors and higher quality as indicated by manufacturer warranties of ten years instead of 5 years. Yes prompt service. But no capability to offer differentiated advice. We obviously mistakenly assumed that Four Star was a high end knowledgeable service provider which apparently is not the case.
