It's only been five days since we had our carpet installed by Flooring Discount Center and we're not very happy with how it turned out. The carpet smells like oil and the smell is so strong that it made me sick. We've had to keep our windows opened for five days to let the smell out and luckily they only installed carpets in one room and not the whole house.
Another thing that happened was the owner and sales person messed up our order through poor communication. There was missing paperwork and someone at the store didn't think that we put a down payment on the carpet, so she didn't order it even though we did order it from the owner of the store. After about ten days of waiting, we finally called them to see how things were going and they corrected the problem and ordered the carpet. This delayed our installation but after everything was ordered, things went a lot smoother.
The people at Flooring Discount Center are very nice, but the process was a little disorganized and the smell of the carpet was very surprising. We're hoping the smell goes away soon, otherwise we'll have to call them.
