I had a consultation at Alexander, and I was a candidate for PRK surgery. I had my pre-op exam, and everything looked good and was a go. I was scheduled for surgery, given prescriptions to fill, sold eye drops and vitamins in their office. Most everything was done by his assistant, when he came in at the end I had one question in particular about the Mitomycin (cancer drug) that is applied to the eye at the end of surgery. Alexander was belittling and arrogant in answering saying that I need to just trust my Dr. (this was literally after meeting him for 1 minute that I was supposed to implicitly trust him???) and he asked how would I be able to have any knowledge on the subject? I was unsettled by his treatment of me, as I deserve to know all about what is going to be done to my eyes, but was going ahead with the surgery.
