We have 2 boys at EPC Simsbury (ages 4 and 2.5) and have loved every aspect of our experience there. The staff is amazing. They all know both of our kids despite not having had them in class. They recognize and greet us when every time we arrive. When our kids have a hard time at drop off, the teachers reach out to them individually helping them transition into their "school day". At the end of the day, the kids are happy to see us but sad to leave. The activities are appropriately engaging and challenging in each age group and they never seem to do the same thing twice. The food is amazing; healthy choices with a great variety. Our 4 year old is doing piano lessons once a week. He loves the lessons and we love the option to include that in his day, and the price is great. From field trips to swim lessons, haircuts to class parties, we can’t think of anything to add to the program. Director Kim Phillips is wonderful. She treats our kids as if they are her best friends. My kids won’t go to their classrooms without saying good morning to her first. As parents, we feel that she and the Assistant Directors are always available to answer our questions. Our kids’ teachers send pictures of them to us throughout the day through the Tadpole program. Our work schedules change regularly and the flexibility that EPC offers us to change our schedule from month to month was something we couldn’t find anywhere else. That combined with the Educator Program that allows us to take the kids out of school during the weeks I am not teaching (without being charged for those weeks) puts EPC in a different league. The classrooms are clean, spacious and engaging. The playgrounds, both indoor and outdoor are incredible. And, as if that wasn’t enough, there’s a fish pond by the front door. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at EPC Simsbury and recommend it every chance we get.
