DON""T SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO MESA VISTA. In the 2 weeks my aunt was there I received numerous phone calls from my aunt for help because the staff would not respond to her calls using the red button. I had to literally go to the nursing home or call the main number so that she could get help and numerous time they were rough in handling her as she as a fractured back, after we complained on deaf ears they accused my Mexican American elderly aunt and former inner city teacher of being a racist against blacks. Half the staff are black. My aunt was deeply offended by this accusation. The last straw was the stench of sewage coming from her room the Director of Nursing acknowledge it but did nothing about it. I finally had to take her out and she is very pleased with Huebner Creek, and no I do not work at Huebner Creek or have any vested interest in it. BTW after numerous calls to the Mesa Vista Administration, no one called any of our family members back. I am in the process of making a formal complaint to Dept of Aging.
