I originally called Appliance Service & Repair to fix my Subzero ice maker. The ""tech"" installed a new valve and recharged it and charged me $350. Never made 1 cube of ice. I called K & N after recommendation from the retail seller. Tech from K & N came out and was very professional. He got it working but basically told us system was kaput (my words). He informed us the parts were still under the Subzero warranty but we were still looking at about $900. Good money after bad? Took it into their shop to avoid the pickup/drop off fee. Everyone was great in the shop and frankly, very friendly and professional. I will try to remember to update this in 3 months or so to ensure it is working.\r
Not sure where the negative comments are coming from - did not have the same experience. BTW - they have been in business for over 60 years so I have to assume they are doing something right.
