Please Beware: The ""Company"" has 2 different alias; Pino's & Dino's; it is listed as Paint and Tile Corporation, a paint store and handyman services. Also, the address is a resident condominium, not a place of business. I rarely write any type of review. There are no stars to apply here, only a forewarning. The experience with this company was a nightmare and I can only hope they do not do this to others. It's a one-man show, ""Dino"". He took on a job, renovating an apartment in North Miami. I had about $15,000 total that I inherited the past year with the passing of both my grandparents. My Mom contributed about $5,000, costing us a total of $20,000. This is a story I wish upon no one, your traditional ""con man"" that saw an opportunity to take advantage of someone, in this case, my Mom but did not realize the finances were mostly funded via her daughter, myself. The bottom line, it was upsetting, unfortunate and we'll never recover from what was done. We knew Dino from around the Aventura area and my Mom trusted him and even worse, being two women, he was even able to intimidate my Mom by the mere fact that he knew we didn't have a man around. It's sickening. Maybe for more money, he does better work. He showed us all these floors that ""he had done"" and they were beautiful. The floor in the apartment we have is a disaster, the work is incomplete, he wasn't doing the actual work himself and lastly, I found marijuana joints left in the apartment, I thought it was surreal. After the fact I know never to trust someone like him, I know what things cost and how a contract should be properly written up. However, when doing business with Dino's Paint and Tile Corp. I was not knowledgeable about any of these things and neither was my Mom. The ways in which he took advantaged are everywhere you look when I step into that apartment; unfinished paint job, dirt and filth, chipped appliances, furniture trashed and the after all that, he didn't want to finish putting down the floor boards, so there are gaps between the tile and the walls throughout the apartment (well he would do it for an additional $1,000-$2,000) but he had already tapped us out at this point. This was a one-bedroom property that my elderly grandmother, 96, is leaving to me. The money and this property was a huge stepping-stone to start my life. Dino didn't just take our money and do a terrible job; he took what was meant to be the foundation of my life as a grown woman. I learned a very hard lesson and my entire life plans have been affected by one man's greed. more
