I was traveling alone something I had never done before in a strange city. When I arrived at the hotel I was not sure by the looks of the outside if I would feel very safe. I had booked the hotel online and paid in advance. I sat in the parking lot and called my husband and told him of my concerns. He said why don't you go on inside and see what you can do about canceling your reservation. I figured I wouldn't be able to cancel it but, I could try. \r

I walked in the front door and immediatly I knew I had worried for no reason. The lobby was very inviting and the lady at the front desk was just as nice as one could be. I told her that I was in town to surprise someone who was graduating in Ashland and I wasn't sure how to get there. She pulled out a map and highlighted it for me and said I would have no trouble. After getting my room keys I was feeling pretty safe and content with my choice of hotel. Which was a good thing, since I would be staying for 3 nights. The room was not fancy but it was about right for the price. I had no problems while I was there.\r

The indoor pool is of good size & the atrium is gorgous. There are video games for the kids and a pool table. There is also a nice little bar. \r

The Continental Breakfast was fabulous. The bacon, eggs, biscuits & gravy put 3 extra pounds on me. Good thing I didn't eat the pastries, bagels and cereal they had. \r

All in all my experience was very pleasant. I will book this hotel the next time I am in Columbia.
