STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES. I don't believe this Chesapeake Landing exists anymore, but I am in the process of writing reviews on every site I can find. During our stay, we had maintenance issues on a nearly weekly basis. The office staff was unpleasant and rude on the rare occasion that they DID respond to inquiries. My car was stolen from the parking lot, and my roommate and several other residents had their cars broken into on multiple occasions. When we reported incidents to the office, their response was that they would not get involved in legal matters and it is the residents responsibility to keep cars locked and not leave valuables inside them. The year we lived there, there was a massive snow storm, and their snow removal was ridiculous. they had one pick-up truck with a plow go through the lot at about 12pm, and nothing else at all until after the snow had started to melt. I spent 3hrs digging my car out (i was pregnant at the time as well). We had a horrible spider infestation that the complex refused to address. To top it all off, this is over 2 years later and i am now fighting with the management company because they charged us $430 IN ADDITION TO our deposit AND our pet deposit for ""damages"" that they could not prove. we gave up fighting with them and paid the balance, and now, AGAIN THIS IS TWO WHOLE YEARS LATER, i have a negative remark on my credit report from these people saying that it was never paid, even though their own collection agency has documentation that our account was paid off. more
