Incompetent, lazy, difficult to schedule. I have just moved into a home with a sub-zero refrigerator which did not cool enough. The insurance had us call Active Appliance, and they sent a ""technician"" who had no idea of what he was doing: he said to clean the coils and that if he did it, it would be $150 and the insurance would not cover. So we cleaned according to his instructions, but things did not improve. The insurance in the meantime approved a second visit and any additional cleaning that might be needed. We called Active again and they were very difficult to schedule: they claimed that if we did not clean properly, the insurance coverage would be void. This even after we did exactly what they told us to do. After many phone calls from us and the insurance, they agreed to a second visit, but they could not schedule it for ten days! Fortunately the insurance put us in contact with another company, K Appliance, whose technician came in two days, correctly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Stay away fro Active!
