Well, I have been using Lee Hill for some time now and have been pleased. Until..... Today. I had an oil change and a va state inspection and was told by the mechanic that all looked good. Upon receiving the bill for service and paying, Kevin informed me that I needed a belt, tires, and front and rear brakes. I laughed when he said this since the mechanic had literally told me 10 minutes prior that all was good. I also was very surprised since I just put brakes on the car a month prior. I feel that Kevin's main goal in the business is to sell unneeded labor to customers vehicles. He tried to cover up that he told me I needed brakes by blaming the mechanic for possibly only doing a look into the wheel at the brakes instead of pulling the wheel off to measure exactly. I will not be returning to Lee Hill for any additional service now knowing that they skip steps in the safety inspection and also lie. I was very upset with the transaction today and will no longer refer friends and family to Lee Hill. I know that it seems a bit petty, but this is the 3rd time they have told me in 9 months that I needed brakes. Maybe Kevin should realize that he doesn't work as a real estate agent and doesn't need to lie to get business.
After all this happened, I asked Kevin if he had time for an oil change on my work vehicle and he stated that he was to busy with bigger projects to get anything else in the door. This didn't make sense when I overheard all the mechanics and other shop personnel talking before Kevin got to work about how they were not swamped. Just an unpleasant experience and will not return for business. A real big disappointment because I would rather support a locally owned and operated shop than the chain gang shops.
