My two grown children & I spent 4 nights here. Our 2nd floor was roomy with an A-frame roof (looks larger than the 8 ft roof on the 1st floor). The room was clean and the air-conditioner was so cold I had to turn it off. When you take into account the motel is only 7 miles from Carlsbad Caverns visitor center, just the gas savings coming and going from the city of Carlsbad it worth it. The ic machine did happen to be broken, but there was ice for sale at the store 100 yards across the street. Very good restaurant just about 80 yards down the road. The counter personnel were very kind and cooperative.\r
