I brought 3 chickens from OK feed as a first time chicken owner just before they closed last night. There was a scrap of fencing on the ground and I asked if I could have it. I was told that the ""manager"" was watching things like this very carefully and they'd have to charge me for it. I was charged for a 1 foot piece of scrap (which was fine with me). My husband thought the place was a little petty in this regard because it looked like the piece had been discarded. This morning I found some bloody poop along with normal poop in the straw. The chickens have been in the coop for less than 10 hours and all I fed them was the feed that I brought at the store. I called to ask about it and the man I spoke with told me it ""might have been what they were fed"" and the best thing to do was to watch it. After reading the reviews I have gotten a little paranoid. Hope nothing is the matter with one of the chickens because now I wonder whether they will make good on a sick chicken!
