My wife and i stayed at the Gershwin hotel for 5 nights on a very cold March city break, we found this hotel to be an exellent place to stay. tha weather was very cold so any time we came back from one of our many walks we always found our room very cosy, nice and warm ( no trouble with heating as previous reviews) as was rest of hotel. The staff were all very helpful , any problem we had was taken care of, the Reception area was having a bit of a renovation when we were here, lifting old floor tiles to reveal original marble floor back to 1902 style, Our room was a bit basic, but it was warm, very comfy bed, large flat screen tv, great shower, and no noise from other rooms. We were on 6th floor ( room 631) and had no trouble with the lift, it was old, smallish but we never waited too long for its arrival. Birch coffee shop attached to hotel is a great place to start your morning, cheep n cheerful, the location of this hotel is greart, central for a lot of main attractions. Would stay here again if only to see complete renovations, reccomend
