I just was discharged from St. Claire yesterday. I had been there for a month and five days. Was in there because i had some blood clots make there way to my lungs. Which is very very very painful. So i was given morphine and dilaudid to control the pain 90mg of the morphine per day and 36mg of dilaudid per day. They started to wean me down before they discharged me. They had the morphine down to 15mg daily and no change with the dilaudid. They sent me home with ibuprofen for my pain nothing else. I still have a fair amount of pain in one of my lungs. I have filed a formal complaint with the hospital to try and get it resolved and was told it will take seven to ten days to get a response to it. \r \r The nursing staff i'd say one out of every three nurses i had could have cared less if i was in pain or couldn't breath. The call button is a f*cking joke multiple times i waited more than a hour and half before anybody bothered to check and see if i was ok. There was one nurse i never caught her name but i swear she came in and did what she could to hurt me and cause me more pain during her exam. What a nightmare that place is. And like one of the other posters i also got a fungal infection while i was in there. They didn't find it in any of the blood cultures or test. I woke up with a 106.3 degree fever. That was very scary really messed up my head for a day. So i had to have another picc line put in. \r \r Well the only good thing i could say about St Claire is i didn't die. But thats about it. I will never go there and if you can make it to one of the other hospitals in the area go else where. more
