I called and made reservations two days in advance. The first trip was scheduled for 5:15 pm on Friday evening. It was a short trip but since it was cold we decided to ride instead of walk. The weather was bad on Friday, so I called at 5:15 pm to see if the cab was on the way. The person answering the phone said that he would check and he put me on hold. In the meantime, I saw a Classy Cab come down 5th Avenue. The driver was talking on his phone, and never stopped. He went around the corner and never came back. As I continued to hold, I assumed that he was contacting the office and that the operator would have come back on the line to tell me that he was on the way. No such luck. I had dinner reservations for 5:30 and it was now 5:25. We finally happened to see an off duty Yellow Cab coming down the street and he stopped and took us to our destination. At that point I decided that there was no reason to continue holding so I hung up.\r
I had a return trip scheduled for 7:15 pm. The driver did show up for the return trip, but at that point I had already made other arrangements.\r
I was not so upset by the fact that the driver may have been delayed due to the weather, but for the operator to leave me on hold for 15 minutes and to never come back on the line to provide any type of feedback, is unacceptable. \r
