I have to STRONGLY disagree with Keller J. This place is amazing. I've been going there for a while now, actually a couple years and won't ever think about going elsewhere. Mafatta has been doing my hair before she got her own shop and was working somewhere else. The staff is very kind and helpful. The manager, Mafatta, makes me feel really relaxed because I know that I'm in good hands and is nothing but nice. I love how she always does little discounts because braids are very expensive and the economy isn't too well. Overall, nice place. I just got senagalese braids about 3 months ago and they're still holding up quite nicely. I usually go there every 4 months because the braids really do help my hair grow. I would definitely recommend going there. Reading Keller J's review baffles me because that sounds nothing like the place I've been going to and I think i would know since i have been going there for years now. Also i would like to point out that for micros you never braid all the way past your hair unless you have short, thin hair and if she did braid it tight it's so your hair wouldn't slide out. You said that she burned you with hot water but you also said that you were getting micros and last time i checked you don't dip micros in hot water. I've been getting braids for a very long time and I think I know a thing or two about it. That also sounds nothing like Mafatta. Whenever I'm there she always tries her best to please the customer. I just feel the need to defend even though she shouldn't need it because she is wonderful. more
