I call to ask what their pricing is to run some network wires through my house. The person on the phone tells me that she has no idea and would have to send someone out. She tells me that it will cost 60 bucks to have that happen. This is understandable, so I set it up. She tells me someone will be here at 11 on the day. \r \r The day of the visit he doesn't arrive. I wait over an hour and then leave. I get a phone call from my disabled mother that he is now at the house. I talk to him on the phone and tell him that I am looking to have 4 network wires run through the house. \r \r His immediate answer is that it will be substantial, and then talks about drilling through my floors and walls and to the outside and hubs and routers and blah blah.\r \r I used to work for magnolia before it was bought by best buy in the home install department. We did wire runs of this sort for about $150 run. I tell him to slow down, because I only want 4 wire runs done and in past experience this should not cost more than say 600 bucks if I am being generous. The total work would take about 2 and a half hours and the material about $50.\r \r He tells me that i am not even in the ballpark. Keep in mind, he HAS NOT ENTERED MY HOUSE YET. \r \r I ask him to explain to me how, if he is not even in my house yet and can tell me this, why could they have not simply told me this on the phone when I called. \r \r He told me they should have. \r \r I told him that those in his office wasted his time. \r \r When I get home, there is an invoice for 60 bucks.\r \r Garbage. Complete garbage. more
