COMPLETELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY OR YOU WILL REGRET IT. I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on this company because ""Nice Guy Movers"" caused over $270 worth of damage to my furniture while providing their moving services for my local move on December 10, 2011. Its been over 6 months and I am still fighting to get my claim settlement check from them. Here are the details of what happened to me: Immediately after my move I filed a claim with their 3rd party insurance carrier ""Claims Adjusting Firm"", which even getting the form for was a nightmare. Three months later I felt that I had no choice but to settle the claim for only 90 dollars. That was on March 22, 2012. I have an email confirming this settlement. The text of the email reads ""Thank you for contacting the CLAIMS ADJUSTING FIRM. This is to confirm receipt of your (fax), where the documents received was: signed offer. Be advised that the case was forwarded to the moving company for closure. The company by law has twenty to thirty days to release payment, if you do not hear from them within this time frame, please do not hesitate to give us a call back or send us an email. Thank you, Customer Service Department, CLAIMS ADJUSTING FIRM. To date I still have not received payment. I have called both Nice Guy Movers and Claims Adjusting Firm several times a week, every single week since the date I was supposed to have received payment by. Every time I call, if I get a live person on the phone, I get the run-around. I get excuses, the blaming of other departments for the problem, and promises about resolving the issue that are never kept. It has been over 6 months since my move and I still cannot get this company to pay for even a small fraction of the damages that they did to my belongings. I strongly believe that they are purposefully and unlawfully withholding the money owed to me in hopes that I will just give up. This is not only unethical, it is illegal. This company is completely unprofessional and has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not to mention the fact that their movers showed up late with no pads or blankets to wrap my furniture, didn't bother to disassemble some of my furniture before putting it in the truck, and took over 2 hours longer than the quoted time to complete the move. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY OR YOU WILL REGRET IT.
