My Mother-in-law is Brazilian, so my family has been going to this restaurant for a few years now, and have always loved it.
On Father?s Day 2012, we had a frustrating experience. I had called weeks before Father?s Day to make a reservation and was told twice on the phone that the lunch price for Father?s Day was $29/person. When we arrived with our party of 11 people on Father?s Day, they ended up charging us $46/person (the full dinner price because of the special meats served on Father's Day. The hostess I had spoken to on the phone was wrong about the price.) We were shocked because it was much more expensive than we had planned for. We spoke with the manager, and he said there was nothing he could do. I called back and spoke with the owner, and he was very understanding and apologetic for the mix-up. The Marketing Director of Novilhos, Elle, called me personally and apologized for what happened and gave me a full refund for the extra amount we were charged. I am so impressed with how Novilhos handled the situation in the end. I want to especially acknowledge Elle?s kindness and helpfulness. She went above and beyond to remedy what happened, and gave excellent customer service.
We will definitely be returning to Novilhos in the future! :)
