Having recently relocated to Nashville, I was cautious in selecting a new OB/GYN. I'm thankful that after consulting with several, I chose Dr. Maikis. She's practical in her responses to questions and in the way she approaches your health needs. She performed my fibroid removal surgery in November - with amazing results. I was scared to death...but something about her cautious confidence - not over-confidence (which I've encountered in many physicians) - made me think, ""this lady knows what she's doing and she's going to make sure I'm okay!"" The day of the procedure, she was just as concerned about calming my nerves as she was my family's. She was the first Dr. to recommend that I have surgery (I've seen top specialists in NYC & LA) and I'm so thankful I took her advice - the quality of my life has improved tremendously! Bottom line, she's smart, talented and Nashville is lucky to have her!
