knife sharpening 4/11/2012

Yesterday I took two $75 pocket knives and a cheap kitchen knives in to be sharpened. The pocket knives were sharp, but, not to the level I want them. The kitchen knife was dull. I should have noticed the unprofessional appearance/attitude, the cheap quality of the knives for sale, the fact that only 3-4 minutes were spent sharpening all three knives. My pocket knives were ruined, the kitchen knife... I really don't care. I will never, for any reason, go back. I would rather go to trade days to get a knife sharpened. My pocket knives had a worse edge than when they were taken in, and had more metal lost than in ten years of proper sharpening. 20 year old pocket knives reduced to tool box knives. more
