Very poor service 4/21/2012

We stopped at the London KY Holiday Inn Express on our way home from Tennessee. We are Priority Club Members so we expected it to be up to the standards of other Holiday Inn Expresses we have stayed at. This was not the case. The first greeting we got was pleasant from a young man being trained by a manager according to his name tag. The young man made and error in the process. Instead of just correcting him, the manager yelled at him, told him to get out of the way because he really screwed it up and the manager would now have to fix it. The manager couldn't understand our address after repeating it several times and couldn't find our priority number. It wasn't that important to us so we just accepted his manner and checked in. As we were hauling in our luggage I overheard him complaining to the new hire that some people are stupid to let their Priority Club expire and expect him to find it. The new hire appeared to be embarrassed by this behavior and asked if we needed assistance. The manager was oblivious. When we got to our room the sheets had a stain on the part that folded down. It appeared to be a spot of coffee but it was unappealing to sleep in sheets with stains. The breakfast in the morning was awful! The girl making it appeared to be angry and was very unhelpful. We ended up eating at the Big Boy next door. I would not recommend this hotel nor will I stay in it again if the opportunity comes up. There are plenty of other hotels on this exit.
