We used Discover Hawaii Tours for two tours on our recent trip to Hawaii: one to the Big Island and one to Pearl Harbor. Both of the guides were incredibly knowledgeable on all things Hawaii, entertaining, and talented (from storytelling to guitar playing - we were so impressed with the wide-range of skills that they both had). The guide for the Big Island tour (I'm not sure of his name...he said he went by John, but I'm pretty sure he was joking about that) stopped at a local market in Hilo where we were able to experience some local foods, and he was very flexible about the stops that we made - all depending on what the group was interested in. Tavita was our guide to Pearl Harbor, and he was an excellent storyteller to and from the memorial. They both were also very funny. The only downside to the Big Island Tour was that I felt like there was a lot of waiting (waiting on people to get off the bus, waiting on everyone to get back on the bus so we could go to the next stop, etc.), but I guess that is just the nature of a tour like this. Thankfully, the bus was small, which can't be said for many of the other tour buses that I saw. Overall, we had a great time on both tours, and we would highly recommend that anyone use this company. They were also willing to allow us to make a last minute change in our itinerary, which we really appreciated. Thanks for making our trip to Hawaii so great! We can't wait to come back!
