I did not think you could mess up Mexican food, Tequila Ranch has proved me wrong. The waitress was nice, but something is terribly, terribly wrong with the kitchen and the management. We ordered an appetizer based on our waitress' recommendation. Our food showed up and no appetizer ever arrived. We each ordered a burrito. My bf had a chicken burrito, and I had a fish burrito. Mine was ice cold, as if it had just been pulled out of the refrigerator. There was no cheese melted on top as I ordered. I think they forgot to even put it in the oven. I never send things back, first time for everything I guess. The burrito came back and it looked much better. So, I cut into it and took a bite...it was chicken. I'm allergic to chicken and really never eat it. I went looking for the manager. I asked two hostesses to see the manager, Carlos Garcia. My waitress came back and was apologetic. I asked her to speak to the manager as well. The manager did not come. She brought me a third burrito and we asked for the check then because we had to catch a show. This burrito was finally correct, but the food was not good. Barely mediocre. When I saw the check, I asked for the manager a fourth time. Honestly, we were there for so long, experienced so many problems, the whole meal should have been comped, or at least the burrito. Carlos Garcia, the manager, still did not come over when I requested him again. Ridiculous. The waitress ended up taking off the burrito after I kept asking for the manager. I got the feeling he was off somewhere else and they were covering for him or he doesn't exist. The whole experience was terrible. I've eaten at many of the other places at Hard Rock (the blue plate diner, council oak, tau, johnny rockets...) and all have been pleasant experiences. This place was gross!
