I made my initial appt for an evening expecting that I would be having my teeth ex rayed and cleaned. The receptionist told me when I got there that it was a possibility that I would not be getting my cleaning because the hygienist could choose not to do it at that time. They explained that on a first visit they normally evaluate and the hygienist would be left to decide on whether the cleaning would be done on the same day. Whatever, no big deal, I rescheduled another appt. then I go in and have the cleaning and one of what I?m told will be four fillings (they only did one so as not to disturb a canker sore in my mouth, very nice I thought so it got me over being irritated) I told them I didn't want the ""desensitizer"" they tried to sell me on in the initial visit a week prior. They didn't do it. Then i go to pay and it's only $28 cool right? For a cleaning and a filling? When I return for the other three fillings the DR says they are not that bad, so I only need one, she never said this one was in need of the desensitizer but when I pay the total is $88 FOR ONE TOOTH. I think this odd and call that night (Friday) leave a msg no one calls back. I call again on the next Thursday (yes a week later) still not really mad just confused and the office mgr and/or billing mgr. explains that they tell you about the additional charge in the beginning and don't feel they need to tell you again. Don't get me wrong, she was not really rude (except the part where she said ""IT IS WHAT IT IS) she was just not nice. I tell her it would have just been nice to know since yes it was mentioned, only there had been a week and a half between visits and I ADDIMATELY told them not to use this. Phone call ends, so I think. A few minutes later the tech (leighanne) calls me to literally fuss at me for calling and questioning the charge. I actually felt like a child in grade school getting yelled at for not doing something right. I tell her that as the customer I felt like it was not mentioned during the time I spent shaking from fear in the chair and they just did it without acknowledging weather I could afford it or not. At this point I?ve paid the extra $60 but I felt like some level of customer care was missing. She was awful to me and I WILL NOT BE BACK AND WILL TELL ANYONE WHO LISTENS NOT TO GO TO A CASTLE DENTAL. It?s a shame because I?m not a person that likes dentists and now I have to find another one. I feel like all they want is money and will crap on their customers to get it. This just seemed shady and I don?t appreciate getting yelled at by a person I paid for a service.
