Take care!!! For the most part I have had a good experience at Crossroads Animal Hospital. They have taken good care of my dogs and other animals. But last time was different! I took my dog in to Crossroads, it had been hurt in an accident. They rushed him into an evaluation room. After about an half hour they said he will be Ok, but needed surgery to sew up his cuts and needed extended care and wanted him to stay a few days. I checked on him Fridays and they said he was doing great. \r Late Sunday night I got a call from Crossroads telling me my dog is nearly dead. I did not sleep all night and rushed in in the morning. My dog was in a coma. I asked what happened. All they said his wounds got infected. I asked how did this happen. No one would tell me. I kept asking over and over again how did this happen. Finally after an hour someone came forward and told me the truth. They do not monitor or keep anyone on staff at night or the weekends. My dog was locked in a cage with an IV for two days all alone. Some time during those two days my dog got its E-Collar off and tore open its wounds and eat a hole into its gut. So much for extended care, did they do some wrong? They do not say they have a 24 hour or weekend staff. But they don’t say everyone goes home after business hours. Leave your pet at you own risk. Could this of happen at home, yes. But if I knew the facts I could have made the decision. I would have never left my dog locked in a cage unattended for two days inured.\r All I got was were sorry this happened, your bill is 1500 and we might be able to save your dog with another 2500 dollars and you need to leave it for two weeks. Not having the 2500 my dog died. I just hope this story makes people aware they need to ask important questions when leaving your animal with a vet.\r more
