We've been patrons of this butcher shop ever since they opened. Until this very day, I've been satisfied with everything. Today, I was amazed at how greedy these folks can be. I bought a prime rib and spent a little ove 60 dollars and was about to pay with my bank card and was informed by a rude counter girl that as of Nov. 1st, I had to give them another 50 cents to use my bank card. When I questioned this, she got real surly and said ""if You want to vent, vent to the owner"". She then proceeded to tell me they pay 3% to accept cards. First of all, the amount of business they do, (you have to take a number), dictates they should be paying more like 1.5 or 1.6%. If not, they need a better card service, rather than penalizing their customers. Whe n prompted by this rude clerk to again, ""vent to the owner"", I immediately told her that I vent by never spending another dime in Barb and Patty's again. For 50 cents, they've lost my business and whoever else I can convince that their greed doesn't warrant a loyal customer.
