The previous owners of our house used Bayes to install their reverse osmosis filtration system. While the hardware functions adequately, Bayes refused to tell us the manufacturer of the filters used in our system. They offered to come out to our house for a minimum charge of $50 to simply look at our system. They then said that they could sell us the pre- and post-filters for $31. When asked for the manufacturers and part numbers for the filters, they refused to give us a direct answer. Well, we bought the filters and saw that we could get the same products for $12 including shipping. I understand that local businesses need to make a profit, but the gentleman on the phone was manipulative when talking with my wife and she was frustrated with their unwillingness to give her answers to our questions. I hope they appreciate the 250% up charge on the product; because they are getting bad word of mouth from our household from now on.
