Video also on youtube\r \r \r I made a sad but true video please spread the word it could happen to you or someone you know. Please forward to family & friends!\r \r \r \r \r Uncle Bobs Self Storage Store 303\r Owned by Sovran Corporate Company on NY Stock Exchange\r See how they make their money!!!!!\r \r \r \r Originally we were contacted by Uncle Bob's Self Storage in May about a possible leak- the leak turned into 2 years of Roof Leak neglect and air conditioners that were not working. We did not know the extent of damage until we went to move our items- per their request. Osha was involved due to employee safety (black mold) and employees were not allowed to enter the buildings, however they don't protect the customers who have to deal in the Black Mold Infested Enviroment for hours. \r \r Priceless items included love letters over 25 yrs old, yearbooks, wedding dress, prom dress, quilts made by deceased great grandmothers and grandmothers- childhood dolls and an endless collection of other items. When you store items, and pay for climate controlled environment, you don't see a need to check on them- you are assured unless by a catastrophic disaster your items are intact, especially when boxed carefully and neatly away. How can you put a price on the items that are now only memories? Pictures, Family Photo's etc. . ... Then when a claim is presented to your homeowner's company they investigate and tell you they can't pay a claim due to the neglect of the businesses property not being properly maintained? You meet with a Corporate person (Pete Pilliord- who expressed sorrow and gave a hug to console while stating this should never have happened- but now no one wants to take responsibility). . ..They didn't mind the money I paid them over 5 years. . .. I don't understand how people can be so cruel and companies, a large company (Sovran- traded on NY Stock Exchange) can allow a business to be ran this way and no one is responsible. The manager at the time Laura Marks is shown in a photo, cursing at the mess that was left and stating since she had to take it to the dump she was GLAD IT HAPPENED TO ME, how does someone even say that?\r \r There is a story here, one that needs to be told and one that people need to be aware of.\r \r more
