I had been playing disc golf at Lemon Lake the entire day and I wanted some water. I ran inside and ordered two bottles of water. The cashier rang up my order, I paid $3.50ish and she gave me my change.
Then, without skipping a beat, she told me, ""We're out of bottled water, but I can give you a big cup of water."" I was a little shocked so I asked, ""You don't have ANY bottled water?"". She told me she was pretty sure they were out, but that she would go check the back.
When she returned she confirmed that they didn't have any bottled water and renewed her offer to give me a big cup of water. I accepted.
Should I have fought, asked for my money back? Probably. However, I can't understand why this employee took my order at all. If you don't have bottled water, don't take my money and then inform me you are out. The idea of refunding me never seemed to cross her mind. She seemed to think it was a perfectly acceptable trade off.
I will not be going back to this Wendy's location because I don't believe the caliber of their employees is up to par.
