When we were both working good jobs and bought our house we bought furniture and lawn equipment and appliances. It was no big deal because we were bringing in the money and thought it would last forever. It didn?t but the bills seemed to. We started struggling to make our mortgage and could not make even the minimum payments on our cards and some were eventually sold to collectors who called everyday. I had enough and called Credit 911 to see what they could do. We met with a counselor who determined exactly what we could afford and negotiated our debts down to that monthly payment. When we are earning good money again we will never let this happen.
